ARISE, Men and Women of Faith! Be a bold witness for Jesus Christ.
This is a way to share the love of Jesus. Every situation and individual is different
and there is no unique formula on how to lead someone to accept Jesus as their personal
savior. There is one requirement; you must have a heart to help those that do not
know the living God.
You may have heard the story of the little boy that didn't want to go to bed because
he was frightened. So when being put to bed by his mother, she told him that Jesus
loves him and would be with him through out the night so he should not be afraid.
The little boy quickly sat up and responded by telling his mother that he knew Jesus
loved him, but what he really wanted was someone with "skin on them" to spend the
night so he would not be afraid.
Well you can be Jesus with "skin" to those He puts in your path. Use the B-I-B-L-E
as a practical application to share your faith.
Be an Example
If we are to be Jesus' example to others, we must strive to be real and be the
same person whether in a crowd or at home. In the good times and the bad, we must
live out the fruit of the Spirit. Be an example through Love, Joy, Peace,
Faithfulness, Patience, Self Control, Kindness, Goodness and Gentleness. We
are called to use the gifts God has given us. Not to be perfect. Remember in our
weakness, He is strong. Pray and seek His guidance. Remember, it is God Himself, who
turns the hearts to the Father. Our role is to be faithful and obedient.
Interact with others
The greatest gift you can give someone is your time. Be selfless. Meet them where
they are. Real strength comes from helping others. Hate the sin, love the sinner.
Avoid judgment. Let them know how important they are to Jesus. He cares about what
they think, their struggles and their hardships. Assure them that there is hope,
through Jesus Christ who is our advocate with the Father.
Boldly Share
One of the founding principals for Fabric of Faith is to share our faith and to be a
witness for Jesus Christ. To facilitate our ability to share the love of Jesus,
Fabric of Faith, has designed symbolic biblical icons to serve as a visual
representation for the essential elements of our Christian faith. The best way to
share Jesus is to reveal what He has done in your life. Use your favorite Fabric of
Faith icon as a conversational springboard to introduce and discuss the truth of the
appointed scripture and the Gospel. Relate how a personal relationship with Jesus
has changed your life. It is a truth that no one can dispute.
Lead with the Truth
Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. (John 14: 6) Only He can offer
forgiveness and righteousness. We are offered life in Jesus Christ and are saved by
His Grace. Grace is undeserved love poured out on us by Jesus Christ. It is not
something we can earn. It is not something we do on our own efforts. It is not by
works we are saved, but by the mercy of a loving God who sent His Son to die for
our sins so that we might have eternal life.
How do we receive Grace?
You ask for it and make a statement of faith. "God, I know I am a sinner, I truly
repent, please forgive me. I know Jesus died for me and my sins. I accept Him as
my personal Lord and Savior."
Encourage and Support
Commit to pray for and encourage those God has put in your life. "Therefore, if anyone
is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" Encourage
them to join a church body, be in small group for bible study and seek fellowship with
Christians for support.
Remember, spiritual growth occurs in the valleys of life, not on the mountaintops.
Walking beside them is the greatest gift you can share.
